Lisa Dixon, Principal
Most of my career prior to Southwest Host Services was spent in hotel management/sales and marketing, with the last several years focused on athletic team accommodations. During that time, I met many great coaches and their support staff, as well as Linda Hitchins of Southwest Host Services. Linda and I became business partners in 2002 and managed the business together through 2009. Since 2010, I have been solely operating the company, working to creatively develop Southwest Host to better serve our coach clients, provide a rewarding, satisfying and effective operation for our Team Travel Specialists and Recruiting Coordinator, and also maintain a productive relationship with our partnered hotels. My husband Jason works with me toward those goals as the Chief Financial Officer.
Jason and I enjoy living in Fort Collins, Colorado. It’s a great city in a beautiful state. We play golf as much as possible. Our son and daughter live in Texas and we visit them frequently. Our cat Beulah pulls duty as office assistant.
Julie Dawson, Recruiting Coordinator
I was born in Arizona and raised in West Virginia. I have a huge Italian family – never a dull moment! I moved back to Arizona in 1997, and worked for two years with the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was lots of fun, and I really learned a lot.
In 1999, I went to work for Southwest Host Services and I’ve never looked back. I can honestly say I love my job. I live for a challenge so recruiting is the perfect fit for me. The coaches I work with are great and I adore each and every one of them.
I live now in West Virginia with my Prince Charming – my husband, Dave. We have two beautiful daughters, Jenna and Kaylee and a handful of pets which we affectionately refer to as our “animal kingdom.”
Connie Davis, Travel Team Specialist
I have lived in the great state of Louisiana my entire life. I joined Southwest Host Services in 2004 after many years in the hospitality business. I love what I do and the relationships developed with my teams and the hotel representatives.
I live in Ruston with my husband Mike. We have two children, Zach, a ULM graduate, and Kelsey who attends Oklahoma Baptist University and is a member of the swim team and the cheerleading squad. We enjoy fishing, gathering with friends, watching college football and cruising. We are active in our community and our church. I am a graduate of Louisiana Tech University.way back in the stone age.
Denise Ely, Travel Team Specialist
After 10 years in the hospitality industry, I joined Southwest Host Services in 2007. I first became familiar with the company in 1998, as one of their preferred hotel partners. I am a true believer in Southwest Host Services and the benefits they offer to sports teams. My husband of 13 years and 2 daughters currently reside in beautiful Oregon. We love the outdoors and spending time at the beach with our dog Sadie.
Robin Paloma, Travel Team Specialist
Before joining Southwest Host Services, my past work lives were mostly spent in the hospitality industry from Catering at a beautiful winery to Sales and Marketing at a convention hotel. While I enjoyed those I have truly found my career working as a Team Travel Specialist at Southwest Host the most gratifying.
My husband and I live in Tracy CA with our pets. Our two children are wonderful adults living their own lives, so we are enjoying the empty nest stage of our life. Grandchildren are a delight and fill our hearts with joy. In our spare time we explore the wonderful wine regions near us and cooking delicious food to serve with those wines. Cheers!
Shanna Hall, Travel Team Specialist
I have a varied business administration background that always required my strong interpersonal skills. My favorite past work included event and meeting planning, which I now use everyday as a Team Travel Specialist with Southwest Host Services.
I live in Tomball TX with my husband and two boys. I enjoy church, hanging out with friends and watching my boys play sports.
Jason Dixon, Cheif Financial Officer
I joined my wife Lisa with Southwest Host Services this year after a lengthy career in hotel management and operations with several hotel franchises including Marriott, Sheraton and Holiday Inns. After graduating from the University of Oklahoma, I worked as A CPA for five years and entered the hospitality industry as a corporate controller eventually moving into management as a general manager and director of operations.
After working primarily in Texas, it was great to join Lisa in Colorado after many years of travel, commuting and relocations. I’ve always followed sports with a passion and still love playing golf, so it is exciting to have a position related to sports, accounting and the hospitality industry.
